Dr. Daniela Marghitu,Co-Chairman
Dr. Daniela Marghitu is a professor in the Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Auburn University, where she has worked since 1996. She has published six information Technology textbooks, over 80 per reviewed journal articles and conference papers, and she gave numerous presentations at a national and international professional events. She is founder director of the Auburn University Educational and Assistive Technology Laboratory (LEAT), an institutional partner of AccessComputing (http://www.washington.edu/accesscomputing/), AccessCS10K and AccessEngineering Alliances. She is the CO-PI and Technology Coordinator of the Alabama Alliance for Students with Disabilities in STEM (https://cws.auburn.edu/diversity/stem.aspx, the PI of Computer Science for all (http://cs4all.eng.auburn.edu), Computer Science for all girls. She is the recipient of the 2011 AccessComputing Capacity Building Award, 2012 Auburn University Access Award and much more!
Mr. Channon Davis is an Instructional Technology Coach for Jefferson County Board of Education. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master’s degree in Education from UAB, an Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Technology from The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and currently a doctoral student at Samford University. He has expertise in K-12 instruction, Training and Professional Development, Curriculum and Instruction, and Budgets.
Juanita M. Graham is the Visionary behind Alabama STEM Education. While serving as Executive Director, her passion and advocacy for comparable education among underrepresented and underserved children in low-income populations, has lead a path for communities in Bessemer and beyond to help bridge the gap of STEM education. She believes that good education is the only way to empower children today to fight for a more sustainable and better future for the next generations. Mrs. Graham is an experienced enterprise applications consultant and manager with fifteen years of experience in business management and marketing. Mrs. Graham’s experience covers every stage of the project lifecycle from training to overseeing. Mrs. Graham bring to the team fifteen years of United States Postal service as operation support specialist, ten years as Broker/Owner of The Buyers House Real Estate office and continuous leadership achievements.
